Frequently asked questions
No, you do not need a referral. You can make an appointment without a referral from your GP or a psychiatrist. However, you will need to pay the full amount for your sessions out of your own pocket.
Sessions are available in person on the Sunshine Coast or via Telehealth across Australia.
- Telehealth includes telephone and online video technology via Zoom. Our preference is to use online video because this enables our psychologists and clients to see one another.
- If you have a video consultation booked in, you will be sent an email reminder which will include instructions on how to access your appointment.
- You will need either a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection, camera and microphone (these are built into most modern devices). Headphones can also help with audio quality. We also encourage you to find a private room at home so you can speak freely and won’t be interrupted.
Face-to-face and Telehealth sessions at Share Care Psychology are 50 minutes in length.
We offer therapy in English and Portuguese so you can feel comfortable expressing yourself in the language that suits you best.
You can reach us by phone at 0477 509 282, email at hello@sharecarepsychology.com.au,(mailto:hello@sharecarepsychology.com.au) or by submitting an enquiry through our Contact page.

During your first consultation, our Perinatal Psychologist will explain the process and discuss the best approach tailored to your needs.
